Starting January 1, 2020, Plans C and F will not be options for people new to Medicare. That's because Medigap plans sold to new Medicare beneficiaries can no longer cover the Part B deductible in 2020.  If a patient is covered by either of these plans prior to January 1, 2020, is currently enrolled in one of them, or is enrolled in the high deductible version of Plan F, they can stay on their plan. If a patient is not enrolled yet, but was eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020, they may still purchase one of these plans.

However, those currently on these plans continuing their membership for 2020 may experience increased Medigap premiums.
